In 2007 I was a Surgical Coder working for a group of orthopaedic surgeons. During my time there, I wanted to know more about insurance to help answer questions from patients and staff, so after work, I avidly studied books on health insurance online. Many months later, I opted to take the state's insurance examination and acquired my Florida Insurance License.
When my work climate changed, I knew it was time to go into the insurance field and soon realized it was the best decision I ever made. All the experiences of working in the health field has helped me to understand clients’ needs and to treat them with dignity, respect and compassion.
On a personal note, I saw how difficult it was for my mother, who was sickened with end-stage cancer in several parts of her body, did not get the care she needed and deserved. Because of that experience, combined with tending to my father's medical issues, my compassion for other people in the same situations was and has intensified.
Therefore, with honesty and integrity, and a caring heart, I make every available effort to help anyone with their insurance decisions.
